FRENVI - the name stands for FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT - is a German-Indian greentech start-up based in Mannheim, Germany. At FRENVI, we replace conventional plastic cutlery with our edible EATlery® products made from natural ingredients. In addition to edible disposable solutions, we are also actively involved in research and development projects with partner companies from the food and beverage industry in Germany and India. Our R&D projects aim to reduce the amount of waste in the food and beverage industry by recycling organic waste for the development and production of alternative, zero-waste tableware products and packaging solutions.
FRENVI’s second production facility with a fully automated CTC3DF production line will be built in Germany by July 2025, more precisely in Wiesloch. From 2025 onwards, the European market will then be supplied primarily with bio-based products, both edible and naturally compostable. The annual capacity of German production will be above a mid-9-digit volume.
