NAFED was established on October 02, 1958 and is registered under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act 2002. It plays a significant role in the agricultural marketing sector in India. The primary objective of NAFED is to organize, promote, and develop the marketing, processing, and storage of Agri-commodities. Its aim is to provide efficient market linkage for Farmers, Government and Consumers. NAFED procures agricultural commodities directly from farmers across the country. We also specialize in providing export solutions of agri-commodities as per requirement.
NAFED is one of the State Trading Enterprises under the Foreign Trade Policy of Govt. Of India to import and export various commodities and also undertakes export of various agriculture items and articles to different countries across the world as humanitarian assistance as well as on Government to Government arrangements on behalf of Govt. of India.
