Salted and dried is one of the most traditional ways to produce seafood in Japan. It is very much common to process capelin, but our way is a little bit different from others. Our company is widely known by the competitors as a most quality-oriented Shisyamo processor in Japan. To find fine raw material, we go to see and to help the fishermen and fish plant for more than 20 years. We check, record, and eat our products everyday to keep quality the best. Once you try, you must find the difference for sure. Yamaishi, established 1950, has been producing processed seafoods over 70 years in Ibaraki prefecture. The Major item is salted and dried, deep fried, and flouwered capelin from Canada. Also we have greeneyes, smelt products from Ibaraki, and big deep fried oysters from Setonaikai sea in Japan. We are specially focusing on quality, and we inspect raw materials in Newfoundland Canada every year. Yamaishi is the only company which has been buying Canadian capelin for more than 40 years with checking raw materials by our connoiseur skill. Our goal is to make solid and long term good relationship with our customer. Our safe and clean factory in Japan is ceritificated by FDA-HACCP, also awarded food hygiene prizes by Japanese covernment. Now we are trying to get Halal certification.
