Depesh Pankhania, Head of R&D at IFFCO Snacks, has over 10 years’ experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods. Having joined IFFCO less than a year ago from PepsiCo International, Depesh has been focused on developing a consumer-centric strategic plan, with an exciting pipeline for 2025 and beyond. With a solid academic foundation, including a Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD, his curiosity is driven by his scientific background and passion for innovative new product development fuelled by his desire to be at the forefront. At PepsiCo, Depesh spent eight years leading R&D for iconic brands such as Doritos, Cheetos, PopCorners, STAX, and Lay’s. Notable achievements include leading the development of Doritos STAX and reformulating Doritos, as well as featuring on UK National Television – BBC’s Inside the Factory. Before leaving PepsiCo, Depesh led work on healthier snacking, reformulating Doritos and Cheetos to meet strict UK and EU Health Legislation, and exploring alternative technologies in baking and popping.
