Joined Dubai Municipality in 2014 as a food trade officer. Had started working as a border food inspector at Jebel Ali Port, as well as issuing food export health certificates for export shipments. Currently a Senior Food Safety Specialist at the Food Safety Department in Dubai Municipality; responsible for ensuring all food products being produced or imported to the Emirate of Dubai is entered on the Municipality’s database. Provides food manufacturers and producers to ensure the compatibility and compliance of food labels of prepackaged foods with UAE and GCC regulations. Manages the federal food registration system ensuring that all food products from any port in the UAE is monitored. Regulatory member of the Emirates Authority of Standardization and Metrology for updating existing food standards and regulations and proposing new ones to ensure safety of consumers. Master of Public Policy Student at the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government since 2017, and currently specializing in health-related policy development and implementation.
