Program Manager - Food Innovation, Meat & Livestock Australia

John Marten is the Program Manager for Food Innovation with Meat and Livestock Australia. In this role John is responsible for the Levy and Donor Company investments within the Product & Packaging Program.

The key focus areas within the current investment plans include;

  • Australian Red meats role within aging populations, health wellness and functional foods.
  • Identification of value adding opportunities for existing low value red meat streams.
  • Future Protein – How does red meat win?

John has a significant depth of commercial retail experience with Australia’s leading supermarket retailers, where he was responsible for national trading business units and the new product development teams and processes. Most recently John worked with large food manufacturing businesses that supplied products for customers, of the country’s leading food retailers, across both branded and private label offers.
